PYREXIA, AEON, DECREPIT BIRTH: European Tour Cancelled
November 1, 2006The previously announced European tour featuring PYREXIA, AEON, DECREPIT BIRTH, and INHERIT DISEASE has been cancelled.
Commented DECREPIT BIRTH guitarist Matt Sotelo in an online posting, "The booking company called off the tour due to the fact that dates were not getting finalized and time was running out. I'm really bummed, we were getting ready... and I guess we won't be there for a while, probably 'till we finish recording our next CD. Well, gives us more time to really focus on the new album."
DECREPIT BIRTH has set "Diminishing Between Worlds" as the title of its new album, tentatively due in early 2007 via Unique Leader Records. "This album will be a step in more of a melodic and progressive direction yet still have a heavy dose of technical brutality," Sotelo previously said. "Very reminiscent of bands such as later DEATH, CYNIC and QUO VADIS mixed with the brutality that DECREPIT BIRTH is known for. We are really trying to do something new with album, and we feel that we have grown as musicians and that 'Diminishing Between Worlds' will be a reflection of that. We are very happy to get to work with Unique Leader Records again, and we are confident that they will greatly contribute to the success of DECREPIT BIRTH from now into the future. The album will feature session/touring bassist Erlend Caspersen (BLOOD RED THRONE, ALL SEEING I). Artwork will be by none other than Dan Seagrave."
DECREPIT BIRTH's debut album, "...And Time Begins", was released in October 2003 via Unique Leader Records.
